For people with Celiac Disease and those who are gluten-free or struggle with food allergies, the holidays can be very stressful. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Passover, and Hanukah are all very food-focused holidays. This means we often have to bring our own safe food to every occasion and event. This may even mean baking your own birthday cake. During a busy time of year with holiday parties, family dinners, and vacations, this is another stress we don't need. One way to lighten the burden is to buy holiday food from dedicated gluten-free bakeries and restaurants. Here is my list of Suki-approved, dedicated gluten-free bakeries we have visited.
Gluten-Free Dessert Bakeries that Ship Nationwide
Erin McKenna's Bakery - locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Orlando, Temecula/Murrieta
Erin McKenna’s Bakery is a gluten-free, vegan, kosher bakery that is also soy free. They ship holiday gluten free desserts including pies, donuts, cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes, muffins, challah, bagels, and even gingerbread house kits nationwide through GoldBelly. They do not bake with any nuts, but the flour they use is produced in a facility that processes almonds, cashews, macadamia nuts, sesame seeds and hazelnuts.
Posh Pop Bakeshop for dedicated gluten-free desserts, located in New York City
Posh Pop Bake Shop is dedicated gluten-free and they offer dairy-free and vegan items as well. They have everything from pies and cakes to cookies and brownies. They ship nationwide and offer $12.99 shipping to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Deleware, Maryland, Washington D.C., and Connecticut. They have special Thanksgiving gluten free dessert and bakery collections that include Apple Pies, Pumpkin Pies, Donuts, and Cinnamon Rolls. You can also order everything individually. Their facility processes peanuts and tree nuts for anyone who may have a peanut allergy or a tree nut allergy.
Modern Bread & Bagel - locations in New York City and Woodland Hills (Los Angeles), California
Modern Bread and Bagel is a dedicated gluten-free, kosher facility, and they have dairy-free and vegan options. They ship nationwide, and have special options for holidays including, Thanksgiving, Passover, Rosh Hashanna, Hannukah, and Christmas. They have the best gluten-free bagels, but they also have rugelach, babka, foccia, donuts, muffins, coffee cakes, and other breads. I have ordered bagels several times, I slice them when they arrive and then freeze them. They reheat beautifully. I highly recommend them. Mariposa Baking Company - locations in Oakland and San Francisco, California
Mariposa offers a wide variety of both sweet and savory baked goods. As a dedicated gluten-free facility, they offer many items for shipping nationwide. For Thanksgiving, they even have a brunch gift set. They have baguettes, cornbread muffins, dinner rolls, bread cubes for stuffing, bread crumbs, and croutons on the savory side. On the sweet side, they have pecan pies, pumpkin loaves, cinnamon rolls, muffins, They have nut-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free and sesame-free options.

Arizona
Knead Luv located in Scottsdale has a variety of cakes, breads, pies, cupcakes, and muffins. Order ahead for your holiday.
Intentional Foods in Mesa, Arizona doesn't have a Thanksgiving menu, but I highly recommend them for top 9 allergen free foods and baked goods. The churro donut is my favorite.
California
San Diego
Nectarine Grove - order online or at the Del Mar location. They have pies, cakes, cupcakes, breads, cinnamon rolls, croissants, and rolls. Must order 48hours prior to pickup date. Thanksgiving orders pick up November 22.
Starrylane Bakery - order online for pickup in store. They have pies, cupcakes, breads, dinner rolls, and stuffing mix for Thanksgiving. They also have cookies, cakes, breads and bars every day. My favorite thing they make are the pretzel rolls. Amazing!
Marin County
Flourcraft Bakery - order online for pickup in store. They have pumpkin, pecan, mixed berry and apple pies, as well as cornbread, coffee cake, vegan apple crumble, dinner rolls and stuffing mix.
Oregon
